Boxborough panel approves $135.99 for Village for a Day signage
Economic Development Committee · Meeting of September 9, 2026
Boxborough Economic Development Committee approves $135.99 for event signage, reworks business survey. Chair Abby Reip led the September 9 Zoom meeting, where members voted 5-0 to split the cost of temporary wayfinding signs with the town's Office of Land Use and Permitting for the annual Village for a Day event. Ex-officio member Alec Wade reported eight vendors signed up so far, with the committee still short of its goal of nine event sponsors.
"It's not a slight to anyone else. It's just for open meeting law purposes," Wade said, explaining limited access to vendor sign-up data. Members also reached consensus to strike a proposed survey question specifically targeting women-owned businesses from the draft, roughly 40-question Economic Development Plan survey, opting instead for broader small-business language after concerns the town had no existing policy to back the narrower framing.
