BOXBOROUGH — The Boxborough Conservation Commission approved waterline connections letting two condo complexes abandon PFAS-contaminated wells for Littleton town water. Engineers Brian Waterman of WDA Design Group and Donald Preventure of Preventure Engineering presented both projects, telling the commission "if we didn't connect to Littleton, we'd have to install PFAS treatment out here, and we wouldn't have room to do it in the building." The commission voted unanimously to approve orders of conditions BWB-2026-01 for Codman Hill Condominiums and BWB-2026-02 for Brook Village Condominiums. Member David Koonce made the Codman Hill motion, seconded by Stephen Schmitt.
The commission also approved a septic replacement at 244 Davidson Road after member Rich Grady acknowledged undisclosed tree removal was needed, saying "this is a surprise," and pushed for a future policy requiring tree-removal disclosure on wetlands filings. Separately, commissioners questioned a Flamingo Market tree-restoration plan's use of disease-prone American elm.
