Conservation Commission · Meeting of October 7, 2026
Boxborough's Conservation Commission closed a public hearing on a septic replacement at 244 Davidson Road and tabled a permitting decision on a condo waterline project. The board voted 6-0 by roll call to close the Davidson Road hearing after an engineer described a new 1,500-gallon septic tank and Presby leach field designed with a five-foot groundwater offset, calling it "belt and suspenders" protection near wetlands. Member Rich Grady will draft the order of conditions.
On a separate item, members postponed deciding whether a Codman Hill Road and Swanson Road condo waterline hookup needs a full notice of intent or a lighter filing, after questioning why nearby Harvard Ridge condos were excluded; Town Planner Ian Gilson will ask engineer Brian Waterman to attend the next meeting. The board also reviewed a proposed $25,000 Fall Town Meeting warrant article for an engineering study on a flow-control system at the Hager property beaver dam, and agreed to host a SuAsCo Climate Coalition meeting November 4 instead of its own regular session.
