Boxborough Conservation Commission continued its public hearing on a Notice of Intent filed by Element Materials Technology Boxborough for equipment updates at 1146 Massachusetts Avenue, voting unanimously to extend review to September 16. Commission member Steven Jeffreys reviewed the proposal while other members questioned applicant details about chemicals and equipment specifications, determining that a field inspection will be required. The project involves a new concrete chilling-equipment pad within 100 feet of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland.

David Koonce suggested conditions including prohibition on chemical storage, crane specifications, and a chronological work sequence. The commission also authorized staff to issue an Enforcement Order for unauthorized tree cutting at 104 Massachusetts Avenue in violation of wetlands protection conditions.
