Well-Being Committee authorizes emergency housing vouchers for residents

Well-Being Committee · Meeting of May 4, 2026

BOXBOROUGH — The Boxborough Well-Being Committee unanimously authorized use of emergency assistance funds for hotel vouchers. Community Services Coordinator Wendy Trinks can now deploy Boxborough Emergency Assistance Program (BEAP) money for one- to two-night stays at the Boxborough Regency Hotel, addressing a recurring need identified over the past year. The committee also received an update on a new Open Space and Recreation Plan in development, with a $45,000 state grant request expected to cover three-quarters of consulting costs; Chair Mary Pavlik will represent the committee on the advisory group.

The Boxborough Rental Assistance Program currently serves 16 residents with monthly assistance capped at $500, and the Movement Series spring session drew 20 of 24 registered participants with positive feedback.
