Water Resources Committee approves prior minutes, discusses well regulations.

BOXBOROUGH — Water Resources Committee approves December minutes and reviews Board of Health well regulations. Member Bryan Lynch summarized new rules requiring well testing on property sales, with the health agent as the sole approved sampler at no charge. Chair Leslie Fox reported the land transfer at 126 Mass.

Ave. is complete and approved by the Conservation Commission, with a property survey to follow. The Committee discussed infrastructure protection, water quality and quantity, and geothermal well concerns under new regulations requiring closed-loop systems. Fox confirmed the committee will not propose articles for town meeting; a joint Water Management Act grant application with the Acton Water District did not receive funding.
