BOXBOROUGH — Steele Farm Committee approved prior minutes and advanced chestnut restoration and building-use planning. Chair Christopher Hydak and members Andy Bauer and Fred Waugh approved pursuing membership in the Massachusetts-Rhode Island chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation, with spring 2027 planting planned following TACF consultation. Bauer proposed converting the farmhouse to a historical museum, and Hydak agreed to schedule a building inspector walkthrough to assess code compliance and accessibility requirements.

The committee scheduled a May 23 field visit to assess Christmas trees and discussed future historical displays in the ice house.
