Steele Farm Committee approves goat vendor presentation, schedules May workday
Steele Farm Committee · Meeting of April 23, 2026
BOXBOROUGH — Steele Farm Committee gathers vendor data on goat-rental land management. Ray Sanne presented Goats of Dover, offering ten goats for $7,600 per month in spring or summer to manage vegetation within an electric fence; the committee deferred decision pending answers on liability, contracts, and fencing configuration. The April 17 ABRHS Senior Community Service Day brought thirteen students who planted Christmas trees, weeded the pollinator garden, and removed debris.
Christopher Hydak successfully moved to donate farmhouse moulding cutters to the Historic Society, with town use rights reserved; Andy Bauer seconded unanimously. The committee voted unanimously to return to regularly scheduled meetings on the second Thursday of each month.
