BOXBOROUGH — Steele Farm Committee approves equipment purchases and delays major capital work. The six-member committee, chaired by Christopher Hydak, unanimously approved spending up to $400 for an auger to plant Christmas trees during an April 17 community service day, subject to confirmation that the Department of Public Works does not already own one the committee can borrow. The committee also unanimously allocated $200 from its $3,756.22 revolving fund for dog waste cleanup supplies and bags, with the Minutemen volunteering for the actual cleanup work.
Parking lot and barn painting projects remain on the capital plan but will not advance this year due to town financial constraints related to the fire station.
