Select Board approves veterans services agreement and updates warrant procedures.

Boxborough Select Board unanimously backs three-year Veterans Services intermunicipal agreement with Acton and updates designer selection procedures. Town Administrator Michael Johns presented the veterans accord with Acton, continuing services by Veterans Services Officer James MacRae effective July 1st for FY27; the Board voted 5-0-0 to approve. Chair Kristin Hilberg also moved to adopt revised designer selection procedures aligned with current General Laws chapter 7C procurement standards, approved 5-0-0.
School Committee member Adam Klein reported the regional school budget at $122.6 million, a 4.75 percent increase, with Boxborough's assessment at $17.7 million and a 5.57 percent rise driven by enrollment. Health insurance climbed 14 percent and out-of-district special education jumped 16 percent, offset by 11 classroom and three unified arts teacher cuts.
