Select Board approves two fire safety grants and sets fall town meeting for November.

Boxborough Select Board approves fire safety grants and municipal fee increases. The Board unanimously accepted the Student Awareness of Fire Education (SAFE) Grant for $5,787.15 and the Senior Awareness of Fire Education (SAFE) Grant for $2,645.62, with Fire Marshal Jason Malinowski noting the student grant will fund school programming and the senior grant will support home safety visits. The Board also unanimously raised the demand fee for unpaid real estate, personal property, and excise tax bills to $25 from $10, and increased the municipal lien certificate fee to $50 from $25, effective immediately.

Building permit inspection fees were set at $60 per inspection and electrical permit fees at $60 flat rate. The Board established November 16, 2026, as the date for fall town meeting.
