BOXBOROUGH — Recreation Commission approves $9,300 FY 2027 budget at virtual February meeting. Chair Hilary Greven, Vice Chair Matt Spurling, and member Claudine Lesk unanimously backed the spending plan, which funds Winterfest, Run BXB (currently at 14 registrations), software fees, and staff conference attendance. The commission also unanimously endorsed the town's application for a Massachusetts Planning Assistance Grant to update the Open Space and Recreation Plan.

Winterfest drew approximately 125 attendees but prompted requests from DPW, fire, and police for earlier notice and coordination on event setup.
