BOXBOROUGH — Public Celebrations Committee names 2026 Golden Fife and Parade Marshal recipients. The five-member panel unanimously voted to award the Golden Fife to Abby Reip and the Parade Marshal honor to Barbara Birt, with Chair Jennette Kollmann confirming both recipients' availability. Committee members assigned specific preparatory tasks: Cassie LaRussa will obtain service records from Town Clerk Becky Harris and write introductions for both honorees; George Powell will notify the offices of state representatives Jamie Eldridge and Dan Sena; and Jennette Kollmann will order medals, fife, and stand.
The committee also reviewed its post-Memorial Day evaluation and updated its Fifer's Day task list, which includes purchasing medals for Lucy Hager and Luther Blanchard, $25 gift cards to Westside Creamery, and event decorations.
