BOXBOROUGH — Planning Board deferred landscape contractor yard hearing to September 23 and agreed to pursue zoning law articles for the fall Town Meeting. Town Planner Alexander Wade briefed members on Massachusetts Chapter 40A revisions, effective July 1, 2026, which require municipalities to accept use variance applications, previously prohibited in Boxborough. Wade noted the town's bylaws are out of compliance with new state law.
The Board voted 4-0-1 to approve July 6 minutes, with Member Rebecca Verner abstaining, and agreed to implement hybrid meetings beginning August 17, 2026.
