Planning Board · Meeting of August 17, 2026

Boxborough Planning Board reviewed warrant articles on data center moratorium and zoning revisions ahead of August 31 public hearings, directing staff to refine language for both. Associate Nathaniel Stuntz proposed adding energy-use requirements to better define data centers; Member Rebecca Verner raised environmental concerns. Member Mark White requested that zoning revisions be clearly labeled as state-mandated compliance changes.

Chair Richard Guzzardi said he would consult Special Land Use Counsel and other towns before the hearings. Campanelli updated the Board on the Office, Research, Commercial Development district: two conservation restrictions totaling 47 acres have been recorded, and a 46-acre parcel is expected to transfer to Harvard Conservation Trust within 30 days.
