Planning Board · Meeting of February 2, 2026

BOXBOROUGH — Planning Board advances six zoning bylaw amendments toward public hearing. The board voted unanimously to authorize Town Planner Alexander Wade to publish notice for changes to the Industrial Commercial District, Design Guidelines, specialty food definitions, parking calculations, accessory dwelling unit sizing, and farm and agricultural uses. Rebecca Verner chaired the meeting.

The board also continued a site plan and stormwater permit hearing for a proposed landscape contractor yard at 984 and 996 Massachusetts Avenue and 38 Sara's Way to April 6, with a written decision due May 6. Town Planner Wade reported that a Metropolitan Area Planning Council economic feasibility analysis determined Boxborough could require 20 percent of MBTA Communities District units to be affordable at 80 percent of area median income.
