Library Trustees approve February minutes, hear director's report on budget and pods.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of March 11, 2026

BOXBOROUGH — Library Board of Trustees approves prior minutes and hears director's report on budget and building projects. Dr. Peishan Bartley, Library Director, reported the budget on track with a planned 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment for FY27 salaries, spending increases for materials through year-end, and 16 applicants for an Information Services position with four advancing to second-round interviews.

The board discussed aligning library hours with new Town Hall operations, pending budget review for added salary and cleaning costs, and considered elevating the Information Services role to Assistant Director in FY28, contingent on Personnel Board pay scale approval. Study pods completed but remain unavailable pending final electrical work and fire suppression compliance.
