BOXBOROUGH — Housing Board working group explores development options for Stow Road. The Boxborough Housing Board's working group met via Zoom to explore housing development approaches for 70-72 Stow Road, assigning members to investigate specific options. Board Chair R.
Allen "Al" Murphy, members Diane Friedman, Phyn Vermin, and F. Channing Wagg, and ex-officio Leslie Fox attended. Fox recommended considering the Enclave Development model and prioritizing whether to expand the town's Subsidized Housing Inventory, which already exceeds the 10 percent state benchmark.
Working group members will pursue cohousing and Tiny Homes research (Vermin), contact builders like Acorn Structures (Friedman), explore partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and Acton Housing Authority (Wagg), and solicit developer input (Murphy). No formal votes were recorded.
