Boxborough's fire station building committee advances to architect interview stage with three finalists. The Fire Station Building Committee reviewed the design selection timeline for Phase 2, with proposals due April 1 and three finalist firms to interview on April 15, per the March 26 meeting minutes. Consultant Steve Kirby reported 39 firms requested the RFQ, with nine architectural firms attending the March 25 briefing.
Town Administrator Michael Johns explained the selection requires at least three candidates; fewer submissions would force the town to seek Massachusetts Attorney General approval or reissue the RFQ.
