Finance Committee · Meeting of April 14, 2026

BOXBOROUGH — Finance Committee tackles audit discrepancies and FY27 budget planning ahead of May Town Meeting. Chair Antony Newton and the five-member committee worked through free cash certification issues and a $200,000 cash receivables discrepancy under auditor review. The committee will need to appropriate $13,950 before June 30 to address audit matters from free cash.

Members reviewed FY27 budget proposals and determined they could work with Budget A, which includes $60,000 in debt service and a $150,000 Assabet regional assessment at 50 percent of costs.
