BOXBOROUGH — Finance Committee approves FY27 budget framework with $1.2 million reserves target. Chair Antony Newton presented a revised budget model and the committee unanimously approved nine FY27 operating categories totaling approximately $2.8 million, including Department of Public Works at $1,063,319, Snow and Ice operations at $206,590, and Transfer Station at $174,500, plus debt appropriations of $862,994 and $62,180. Fire Chief John Kivlan detailed urgent vehicle maintenance needs totaling approximately $74,000 plus $14,000 for pump refurbishment, suggesting possible Reserve Fund draws.
The committee voted 4-1 to approve $10,000 for the open space trust fund.
