Boxborough Finance Committee approves $31.1M FY27 budget for May town meeting. The committee voted unanimously to adopt the spending plan, including a $1,657,460 fire department budget with an added $10,000 for vehicle maintenance and a $17,734,103 school allocation. Members split 2-4 on OpenGov software, voting to not recommend the $116,000 three-year permit-tracking contract, and voted 0-6 against the Design Review Board bylaw, citing outdated design standards needing revision first.
The committee approved a $187,000 reserve fund appropriation.
