Boxborough Economic Development Committee recommended approval of a plastic bag reduction bylaw and passage over a Design Review Board expansion article at its May 19 meeting, voting unanimously, 4-0, on both warrant article recommendations. The EDC emphasized that local businesses must have input in solutions addressing plastic proliferation and stated that Boxborough needs bylaws tailored to local circumstances rather than copied from other towns like Acton.
