Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 19, 2026

Boxborough Conservation Commission voted unanimously to authorize emergency repairs to a beaver dam at a bridge connecting the Blanchard School to Hager Land, citing threats to the structure's integrity. The commission also held a public hearing on improvements to the Flerra Meadows playground at 338 Stow Road and voted unanimously to issue a negative #2 Determination of Applicability for the project, allowing the Town of Boxborough Recreation Commission to proceed with Americans with Disabilities Act compliance work in Phase I. The commission separately discussed an ongoing beaver dam situation at Paddock Estates on Hill Road, where the Fire Chief sent an enforcement letter noting the dam impedes water flow for fire suppression systems.
