BOXBOROUGH — The Fire Station Building Committee unanimously approved $67,936.41 in invoices and confirmed the proposed property at 984 Massachusetts Avenue is on track for a July 17 closing, with title defects being resolved through an ALTA Survey. Chair Mary Brolin and committee members received design presentations from Context Architecture showing multiple site and building options. The Committee expressed preference for combining site plan option 1B with building layout option 1C, featuring an apparatus bay facing Sara's Way, which Fire Chief John Kivlan supports as compatible with a single-story structure the department prefers.
A community design forum is scheduled July 23.
