The Town of Boxborough announced Oct. 19 details about the 2026 WAVM Beacon Santa Telethon, a holiday assistance tradition organized by students at Maynard High School's WAVM 91.7 FM since 1978.
The Beacon Santa Fund provides holiday assistance to families experiencing financial hardship throughout the region. In 2025, the fund served 20 families and 46 children in Boxborough, along with hundreds of other families in neighboring communities.
The town said residents and local businesses interested in supporting this year's effort have several ways to contribute. Those wishing to make monetary donations can use the WAVM telethon donation page. Businesses interested in donating merchandise, gift certificates, services or unique experiences for the live auction may contact WAVM at wavmproductions@gmail.com.
