Boxborough Select Board approves FY2027 budget without override, maintains level service. Finance Committee reported the school assessment at 5.5 percent, well below initial projections, leaving just under $1 million in excess levy. Town Administrator Michael Johns said departmental cuts since November targeted professional development and travel rather than staff.
The board also unanimously endorsed a $15,000 Free Cash appropriation as a 20-25 percent match for a State Housing Production Plan grant, with application due in early June. The FY2027 warrant was finalized and authorized for mailing.
