Board of Assessors signs vehicle abatements, advances assessor search

BOXBOROUGH — The Boxborough Board of Assessors processed routine abatement applications in a brief March 30 meeting. Chair Jennifer Barrett and Vice Chair James Howie, along with Clerk Jennifer Jones, reviewed and signed 24 motor vehicle abatement applications, including three for the 2025 tax year and 21 for 2026 excise. The board advanced the search for a Principal Assessor by scheduling first interviews for April 6, with Howie attending to represent the board.
Second interviews are tentatively set for April 14 or 15. The board then entered Executive Session to consider Real Estate Abatement Applications and adjourned.
