BOXBOROUGH — Agricultural Commission approved land conservation efforts with warrant article and CPA funding. Vice-Chair John Neyland moved approval of a Town Meeting Warrant Article and a $300,000 Community Preservation Act application for possible land acquisition. Chair Owen Neville recused himself as an abutter.
The Commission voted 2 to 0, with one abstention, to submit the Warrant Article, and unanimously approved the CPA application. The approach allows the property executor to list the land while the town reviews offers and considers counter-offers, with Sudbury Valley Trustees purchase remaining possible.
